An Ode To Honeymoon Glow

By Marie Chazoule

Exfoliating serums. How do we feel about them? Personally, I love them. One in particular that I’ve come to know and adore is Farmacy’s new Honeymoon Glow Resurfacing Night Serum.

It is meant to resurface, hydrate and clarify your skin with its whopping 14% AHA/BHA/gentle flower acids blend. The hyaluronic acid and honey in this serum will counter those acids with intense hydration. It has become clear to me that nowadays, chemical exfoliation is all the craze – so many new products that pop up contain acids – cleansers, masks, serums. I’m not complaining!

Products like these do wonders for the skin, only when used correctly. Meaning, definitely don’t over-exfoliate, but also do not be afraid to dive into this world! I have revamped my chemical exfoliation routine as of late, and incorporating a healthy blend of a resurfacing serum like Honeymoon Glow into my routines has helped me out tremendously. I try to use this serum 2-3 times a week, and have found that my skin is perfectly happy with that frequency. If you are new to resurfacing serums like this one, I would recommend that you aim to start out at once per week and work your way up from there!

I suffer from chronic breakouts along my jawline – chronic breakouts which didn’t even happen when I was a teenager, and which do not reserve their appearance solely for my time of the month. Honeymoon Glow has been hyped up tremendously on the gram, for various reasons. It leaves people’s skin soft, it makes them glow in the morning. I will not attest to soft skin after using this product (very few products are able to do that for my skin), and while I will attest to a glow about me the next morning, but what really gets me is how much this potent, potent serum helps my breakouts heal.

Who would have thought that this acid blend would actually calm *down* a breakout? It’s in the chemical exfoliation, people. My theory is that the AHA/BHA/flower acids blend here lifts off and gets rid of whatever gunk is surrounding my affected area, leaving behind cleaner and newer skin. I’m so happy with this serum, and I hope that you all get the chance to try it out very soon!
